When/Where: Friday, 4 p.m. at North Shore Public Library.
What: Bring along your favorite book when you vist the library to celebrate Star Wars Reads day. Have your picture taken with an authentic Storm Trooper, create a yoda stick puppet, a Star Wars mask and enjoy Star Wars puzzles and mazes.

What: Volunteers have organized the re-planting of the Smiley Face at Heritage Park. Three different kinds of daffodil bulbs wil be planted as preparation will begin at 9 a.m. and volunteers begin at 11 a.m.
When/Where: Sunday, 8 a.m. at Broadway & Prince Rd, Rocky Point.
What: The first ever Octoberfest will feature a variety of crafts for sale, locally made products, local fruits and vegetables, and more. There will be a pig roast by Naturally Grass Fed and entertainment by the Homegrown String Band performing traditional and original American roots music
