On September 21 (rain date Sept. 28) the Sound Beach Civic Association will host the Second Annual Pet-Adopt-A-Thon and we hope you will help get the word out. All proceeds from the event will be evenly divided among the participating rescue groups.
The animal welfare groups participating in this event are dedicated to pet adoptions. Created and run mostly by volunteers, they take unwanted, abandoned, abused, or stray animals and try to find suitable new homes for them. They take the animals into their homes and care for them—training, playing, handling medical issues, and solving behavioral problems—until a suitable permanent home can be found.
It is the hope of the Sound Beach Civic Association that animals will find new, loving homes through our Pet Adopt-A-Thon.
