Ceremony held in Sound Beach on Memorial Day.
The Sound Beach Civic Association held its annual Memorial Day Ceremony Monday at the Sound Beach Veterans Memorial Park.
Many local residents, including veterans, scouts, and members of the Sound Beach Fire Department were in attendance along with elected officials and civic members. The event featured music performed by Miller Place and Rocky Point High School students.
“It is an honor to speak at this Memorial Day service each year,” said Councilwoman Jane Bonner. “Words cannot express the gratitude that I have for all of the men and women in uniform who have paid the ultimate sacrifice
