UPDATE: Arrest Made in Rocky Point Bank Robbery

Robbery occurred shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday and the two suspects fled northbound on foot.

Suffolk Police have arrested Justin Collier, 23, of Mt. Sinai for the Sept. 14 robbery of a Capital One Bank in Rocky Point. Collier is charged with third degree robbery.

Two men robbed the Capital One Bank at 75 Route 25A in Rocky Point shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday, fleeing the scene on foot.

One man, described as white, 6-feet-tall in his late 20s with a medium build was wearing a dark hat, dark sunglasses a white T-shirt, jeans and white sneakers. He approached a teller and verbally demanded cash. The teller complied, giving him cash from the drawer.

The second man was wearing a dark T-shirt and dark pants with a white hat. He is described as white, approximately 5-feet-8 inches tall with a medium build.

The robbery caused the to go into lock out of all buildings. The schools continued with ordinary dismissal and additional monitoring outside of the buildings.
