Cops: Intoxicated Driver Busted at the Pump
The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
• Thomas Endres, 23, of Miller Place, was arrested in Miller Place on Aug. 6 on misdemeanor charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and possession of a hypodermic instrument.
According to police, Endres pumping gas while around 8:45 p.m. his Nissan sedan was running, when he was approached by police at a Hess station on Miller Place Road.
Police said he had pills on him that were not prescribed to him.

• A Port Jefferson man was arrested on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree on Aug. 11 after police said they stopped him while driving on Locust Drive in Rocky point around 6 p.m. for a vehicle and traffic infraction. The man reportedly had cocaine on him.
• Robert Savene, 52, of Rocky Point, was arrested on a misdemeanor DWI charge on Aug. 8. According to police. He was pulled over while driving a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound on Hallock Landing Road in Rocky Point when he drove out of his lane around 8:50 p.m. He was later found to be drunk, police said.

• Keith Oberland, 18, of Sound Beach, was arrested on a misdemeanor DWI charge on Aug. 6. According to police, he was driving a 2006 Chevrolet on Rocky Point Landing Road around 1 a.m. when he was involved in a crash with two parked cars and a mailbox. Police did not say if anyone was injured in the crash.
• Daniel Salveston, 31, of Sound Beach, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of DWI on Aug. 6. According to police, Salveson rear-ended another car near the corner of South Ocean and Main Streets in Patchogue around 11:30 p.m. while he was driving a 2014 Jeep. Police did not say if anyone was injured in the crash.
