Crime Report: DWAI Charge, Arrest for Past Incident, and Stolen Plates

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Miller Place, Sound Beach, and Rocky Point during March 15-22:

Raymond Frisch, 52, of Miller Place was arrested March 22 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Reports state Frisch was arrested on Route 112 at approximately 9:03 p.m. in Port Jefferson Station after allegedly operating his 2002 BMW northbound on Route 112 without a driver’s license.

Melissa Kust, 29, of Shirley was arrested March 21 in Rocky Point and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Donald Sipila, 30, of Rocky Point was arrested March 20 in Sound Beach and charged with DWAI. Reports state Sipila was allegedly operating his 2003 Kia under the influence of alcohol and drugs.   

Harmony Escayg, 28, of Coram was arrested March 19 in Rocky Point and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Escayg was arrested at approximately 4:50 a.m. after allegedly operating a 1997 Honda Accord northbound on County Rd. 21, Rocky Point while intoxicated.    

Mackenzie Sullivan, 20, of Sound Beach was arrested March 19 in Sound Beach and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana. Reports state Sullivan was arrested at Groveland Park Blvd., Sound Beach after allegedly possessing marijuana. 

Nicholas Lang, 28, of Miller Place was arrested March 18 in Port Jefferson and charged with four charges of criminal mischief. Reports state Lang was arrested on Main St., Port Jefferson Station after allegedly removing the driver side rearview mirror off of a vehicle.   

Rosemary Zito, 25, of Ridge was arrested March 16 in Rocky Pont and charged with petit larceny and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Reports state Zito was arrested on Dawn Rd., Miller Place. Reports indicate she was arrested for an alleged incident that occurred Dec. 23, 2010 at Kohl’s located in Shirley. Reports state Zito allegedly stole jewelry and an iPod.

Mark Clayton, 41, of Coram was arrested March 16 in Rocky Point and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Reports state Clayton was arrested on Dawn Rd., Rocky Point after allegedly operating a 1995 Toyota Camry northbound on Dawn Rd. with possession of marijuana and without a license.    

Michael Palumbo, 24, of Rocky Point was arrested March 16 and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property. Reports state Palumbo was arrested on Route 25A, Rocky Point after allegedly utilizing stolen license plates for his vehicle.   

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must email the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
