Crime Report: DWI Charges, Criminal Possession of Marijuana Charges, and Stolen Property

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Miller Place, Sound Beach, and Rocky Point during Jan. 21—Feb. 4:

Christopher Delouise, 25, of Shoreham was arrested Jan. 30 in Miller Place and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Delouise failed to signal and exceeded the speed limit while operating his 2003 Ford at approximately 1:41 p.m. Reports also state Delouise was intoxicated. 

Nicholas Distefano, 20, of Ridge was arrested Jan. 30 in Miller Place and charged with criminal mischief and criminal possession of stolen property. Reports state Distefano was observed in possession of an alleged stolen purse in his 2006 Honda. 

Nicholas Roosa, 24, of Rocky Point was arrested Jan. 28 in Rocky Point and charged with criminal mischief. Reports state Roosa threw rocks on the side of a home at approximately 6:11 p.m.

Lily Miller, 21, of Miller Place was arrested Jan. 26 in Coram and charged with criminal possession of marijuana. Reports state Miller was the passenger of a 2006 Ford and allegedly possessed marijuana. 

Lauren Lavender, 20, of Miller Place was arrested Jan. 26 in Coram and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.  Reports state Lavender was stopped at a checkpoint at approximately 1:50 a.m. and allegedly had passion of two prescription medications including Codone and marijuana. 

Lawrence Warnat, 59, of Miller Place was arrested Jan. 26 in Miller Place and charged with aggravated DWI.  Reports state Warnat was driving northbound on Sylvan Avenue at approximately 2:15 p.m. and lost control of his vehicle and struck a snow bank. Reports state he was allegedly intoxicated. 

Theresa Swedberg, 44, of Rocky Point was arrested Jan. 24 in Rocky Point and charged with aggravated DWI. Reports state Swedberg was operating her 1993 GMC at approximately 11:22 p.m. and drove off the roadway and became stuck in the snow. Reports also state she was intoxicated.   

Thomas Hartill, 45, of Port Jefferson was arrested Jan. 22 in Sound Beach and charged with aggravated DWI. Reports state Hartill was operating his 2011 Honda at approximately 8:45 p.m. and was pulled over for his headlights. Upon being pulled over, the officer observed an 11 year old child in the vehicle. Reports also state Hartill was allegedly intoxicated. 

Tyler Hansen, 20, of Sound Beach was arrested Jan. 21 in Miller Place and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Reports state Hansen was in possession of marijuana at approximately 11:55 p.m.

Daniel Marciano, 27, of Sound Beach was arrested Jan. 21 in Setauket and charged with petit larceny. Reports state Marciano allegedly stole a television from BJ’s Wholesale Club located in Setauket.

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must email the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
