Crimes Nearby: Stony Brook Man Flashes Teen, Police Say

Three Village

Suffolk County police have issued an appearance ticket to a Stony Brook man whom they said stood naked in front of a window as a young neighbor walked by his house. Gerard Brennan, 69, was charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. The alleged exposure took place on Tuesday at 6:10 a.m. when the neighbor, age 15, walked past Brennan's home on Sussex Lane.

Olivia Dominguez, 20, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was arrested March 15 in South Setauket and charged with three counts of petty larceny, each a misdemeanor. Police said Dominguez stole amounts of $299, $244, and $344 from cash registers at Home Depot on March 9, March 11, and March 13.

Port Jefferson

Michael Wisnieski, 26, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested March 10 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony. Police said he took a credit card from someone else's vehicle sometime between Nov. 23 and Nov. 24 at a home in Wading River.

Jose Villatoro, 24, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested March 13 in Selden and charged with second-degree criminal trespassing and petty larceny, both misdemeanors. Police said Villatoro entered a house on Jayne Boulevard through an unlocked window and took a wallet containing cash and an ID card at approximately 2 a.m.

Riverhead

An Aquebogue man will face upgraded charges after an accident that killed two in Nassau County, police said.

Robert Beodeker, 50, surrendered to state police investigators and was arrested and charged Friday with aggravated vehicular homicide, a felony, two counts of vehicular manslaughter in the second degree, a felony, two counts of criminally negligent homicide, a felony, and driving while ability impaired, a misdemeanor, New York State Police said.

The charges, police said, stem from a March 4 accident in which Beodeker was found to have methamphetamine and amphetamine in his blood at the time of a double fatal accident. The accident occurred on the Meadowbrook State Parkway southbound at the interchange with the Southern State Parkway, police said. Both John Elder, 76, of Freeport, and Edward Ross, 65, of North Bellmore, were pronounced dead at the scene.

North Fork

Employees of a Chinese restaurant in Southold reported an armed robbery Tuesday night. According to two employees, a man brandishing a gun entered the Cai Hong Restaurant on Route 48 in Southold at  8:58 p.m. and demanded cash.

Southold Town police are  investigating the robbery that took place at the Cai Hong Restaurant. According  to police, a subject dressed in all black, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, entered the restaurant, displayed a black handgun and stole approximately $500 from the cash register. The subject then fled in an easterly direction. No further details were immediately available, police said.

The robbery was the second hold-up of a Chinese restaurant on the North Fork in two days: On Sunday night, a masked gunmen held up a Chinese restaurant in Greenport.
