DWAI, Drugs in Car Console Top Police Reports
The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
• A Rocky Point woman was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree on July 11. According to Suffolk County Police, the 18-year-old was in a car on Lavender Road in Rocky Point around 9:30 p.m., when police said she had marijuana in the center console of her car.
• A 19-year-old from Sound Beach was arrested on July 18 on a misdemeanor charge of DWAI combined drugs/alcohol. According to Suffolk County Police, Aaron Terracciano was driving near the intersection of Oakland Avenue and Route 25A in Miller Place when he failed to signal during a lane change just before 2 a.m. He was pulled over and arrested, though police declined to specify what drugs were reportedly involved in the incident.
• A 42-year-old woman from Miller Place was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of possession of a hypodermic instrument on July 20. Police said that around 4:30 p.m., she was found in Farmingville in the parking lot of a Hampton Inn on County Road 83.
