Miller Place FD Extinguishes Car Fire

Car fire destroys engine, one minor injury reported.

Miller Place Fire Department responded to a car fire on Parkside Avenue Saturday, April 9 at approximately 6:30 p.m; one minor injury was reported.

Smoke was reportedly seen from Miller Place-Yaphank Road, as the fire department rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze in a 1991 Mercedez Benz.  The fire was contained to the engine compartment, and when the fire department arrived, the fire was extinguished in a few minutes.
