Police: Bay Shore Man Arrested for Shooting at Night Club

Suffolk County Police have arrested a Bay Shore man who they say in Rocky Point on May 7.

Brendan Preston, 25, was arrested on Thursday on charges of assault in the first degree, three counts of assault in the second degree, and criminal use of a firearm. Preston is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday in Central Islip.

Police had responded to a 911 call of shots being fired at Oxygen night club at 3:31 a.m. the night of the shooting to find three women with gunshot wounds.

The women were transported to  in a Rocky Point ambulance, Suffolk Police said. One man suffered a gunshot wound and was taken by a friend to before the police arrived.

In the days following the shooting, Fire Marshals shut down the bar as a 30-day grace period ended after the building's Place of Assembly permit expired on Saturday, April 9.
