Recent Thefts, Tire Slashings in Miller Place, Sound Beach

Reports of thefts and slashed tires in the area have recently come in to Suffolk Police.

Multiple reports of thefts and car vandalism in Miller Place and Sound Beach have been reported to Suffolk County Police in the past few weeks.

On March 10 at Locust Court in Miller Place, Police said eight unknown youths stole Reebok sneakers and kicked and damaged a victim's Pontiac Sunfire. Three days later, a car window was broken on Independence Way but no theft was reported.

A week later on March 17, an unknown person entered a locked 2009 Honda Odyssey on Radio Avenue and stole a wallet with credit and medical cards inside. That same day on New York Avenue in Sound Beach, Postal Trucks had their tires slashed, Police said.

A Toyota Tacoma's tires were also slashed on Echo Avenue on March 8. No arrests have been made linked to these incidents.
