Suffolk Police Investigating Officer for Choking Incident in Sound Beach

YouTube video shows officer confronting man in his Sound Beach home.

After a video was posted on YouTube of a man getting grabbed by the throat by a police officer in his Sound Beach home, the Suffolk County Police Department's internal affairs bureau is investigating, according to a report in Newsday.

The video shows the officer grabbing Michael Schuchman, 22, of Sound Beach in his kitchen after police responded to a complaint of a loud party at the home on Sayville Road back in March.

In the video, the officer threatens to drag Schuchman to jail if he has to come back to the home. After he tells the officer to get out, he grabs Schuchman by the throat and pushed him up against the kitchen counter, bumping his head against the cabinets.
