Tennessee Shooting Victim a Rocky Point Grad

Rocky Point grad found dead after being shot near home in Tennessee.

Taylor Hotzoglou, a shooting victim found dead on the side of the road near his Tennessee home, was a 2007 graduate of .

According to a News Channel 5 report out of Clarksville, Tenn., Hotzoglou, 22, was found in his car on the side of the road in what was thought to be the result of an accident. Clarksville Police later found that Hotzoglou had been shot in his upper body, though they did not say where or how many times.

The incident occured just after midnight Saturday. No gunman has been found and Police are still investigating.

Hotzoglou is a former student in both the Miller Place and Rocky Point School Districts. According to a close friend, Miller Place grad Caroline Cardinale, he enlisted in the Army as an infantry soldier in 2009.

"Taylor was a very loyal and trustworthy person to me," she said. "He has never once let me down and always kept his promises. He was overall the greatest guy you could have ever met."

Hotzoglou was last seen near his home at The Residences, 1671 Fort Campbell Boulevard, according to the report.
