Two-Car Crash Sends One To Hospital

Man taken to SBU Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries from Miller Place crash.

A 57-year-old-man was taken to late Tuesday evening after he was extricated from his vehicle, and sustained non-life threatening injuries in a two car crash. 

The collision happened in the westbound lanes of Route 25A across from the Aliano Shopping Center in Miller Place just before 11 p.m.  According to Miller Place Fire Department First Assistant Chief Kyle Markott, the department was called to the crash with reports of an unconscious patient. Upon arrival the patient was semi-conscious, Markott said.    

 “The Miller Place Fire Department heavy rescue unit worked diligently and quickly to get the door open and allow emergency medical services to attend to the patient,” Chief Markott added.

The driver of the second vehicle refused medical care, according to officials.
