UPDATE: Two Injured After Motorcycle and Car Collide in Miller Place

A Motorcycle collided with car near Oakland Avenue on 25A in Miller Place, injuring two and closing 25A for a portion of Tuesday night.

Update: According to Suffolk Police, there was no criminal activity involved in the crash. The woman driving the car was treated at Mather and released. The driver of the motorcycle is listed in critical condition at Stony Brook University Medical Center. The investigation is ongoing.

A motorcycle rider is in serious condition after colliding with a car and being eject from his bike at around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday night near Oakland Ave. on Route 25A in Miller Place.

Miller Place Fire Department Chiefs said they found a patient laying about 20 feet from the actual accident scene when they arrived. The MPFD EMS and Port Jeff Volunteer Ambulance paramedics worked diligently on the patient, according to Miller Place First Assistant Chief Kyle Markott.

He was transported to in serious condition. The driver of the car involved was transported to by Sound Beach EMS.

The scene was turned over to Suffolk Police for their investigation. Route 25A was closed in both directions between Miller Place Road and Oakland Ave. as of 11 p.m. Tuesday night.
