Local Pols Stumping at 'Meet the Candidates Night'

Sound Beach Civic Association will host two candidate nights in October.

The Sound Beach Civic Association will be hosting two Candidate Nights--on October 1 and October 14--at the Sound Beach Firehouse at 7:30 PM. 
The agenda is as follows: 

  • October 1: 2nd Assembly District: John McManmon (D), Anthony Palumbo (R)6th Legislative District: Sarah Anker (incumbent, D), Jennifer Juengst(R) 
  • October 14: Town of Brookhaven Supervisor, Edward Romaine, Vivian Viloria-Fisher. District 2 Councilperson: Jane Bonner, Wayne Fellrath Highway Superintendent candidates Lori Baldassare and Daniel Losquadro.
Bea Ruberto of the Sound Beach Civic Association will be moderating. The debate, she said is not formal, however candidates will will be expected to answer the same question. There will be a Q & A session of about 20-minutes with the first question prepared by the civic association and the rest coming from the floor
