Miller Place Kindergarten Registration Set To Begin In March

The Andrew Muller Primary School in the Miller Place School District is holding kindergarten registration March 10 through March 14 for any residents interested in enrolling their children.

Registration will be held from 9:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. by appointment only. So if interested, please make sure you call the school's main office to schedule a time and a day. No walk-ins will be allowed.   

According to a press release, the enrollment statues are as follows: Children who are five years old on or before December 1, 2014 and are residents of the Miller Place School District will be eligible to enter kindergarten for the 2014-2015 school year.

There are several state mandated immunizations necessary for school entry: three Polio (IPV), three DPT, three Hepatitis, two MMR and one Varivax. Please bring your current immunization record to registration. 

New York State law requires that all incoming students have a physical examination within one year prior to the first day of school.  A completed examination form must be submitted to the Health Office no later than August 29, 2014.
