Miller Place Students Collect for Food Drive

Classes hold friendly competition amongst each other.

North Country Road Middle School recently completed their annual school-wide November Food Drive, and Ms. Brenner’s sixth grade class was declared the winner of this year’s competition.

Students competed to see which first period class could collect the most food. Members of the Student Government picked up food each day and kept track of every room’s score and the students’ efforts were rewarded with an early morning bagel breakfast.

The drive, which took place during the first three weeks of the month, provided food for lower income families so that they too could enjoy a hearty meal on Thanksgiving Day.
