New principal John DeBenedetto welcomed students back to school early this year and held a "meet the principal" night to give students and parents an opportunity to get to know the new administrator.
DeBenedetto discussed his background as an educator, with experience in both the William Floyd and Sachem school districts as well as short and long-term goals he has for the school.
He focused on preparing students for graduation and mentioned developing protocols that would provide each student with an individualized post-graduation plan that either leads them to a higher education degree or gives them the ability to enter the field of their choice.
