students in Home and Careers recently focused on the benefits of healthy eating when preparing food at home.
Groups started “Nutrient Research Projects” by researching nutritious ingredients and reporting the results to their classmates. They then created their own dishes using nutritious foods. Some of the homemade recipes were bruschetta and crostini, a caramelized fruit platter, twice baked potato, whole wheat muffins and cheesy shells with spinach.
