PHOTO: Rocky Point Students Recognized for Academic Excellence
Students recognized for performance on National Merit Scholarship qualifying test.
Rocky Point High School students Elizabeth Kidney, Vincent Viggiani and Daniel Wood were recently named Commended Students in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program.
The students have been recognized for their outstanding performance on the qualifying test used to enter the program. While they will not continue in the 2013 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, the three placed among the top five percent of the over 1.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the 2011 PSAT/NMSQT.
