Record-Breaking Year for Joe Keany Run
Record number of participants in 15th Annual Joe Keany Memorial Run.
The 15th Annual Joe Keany Memorial Run had a record-breaking year with 470 registrants for the 5k and one mile on June 5.
Two Miller Place School District Alumni were the Keany Cup winners in the 5k, as Derek Rammelkamp (16:39) and Pam Ernst (20:57) took home the honors.
The overall winners were Derek Rammelkamp (16:39), Thomas Rammelkamp (16:41) and Kevin Krause (17:19) for the males and Krystal Drumm (20:14), Pam Ernst (20:57) and Kate Pouder (21:02) for the females. Robert Williams (6:08) and Danelle Rose (6:50) finished first in the one mile run.

"The beautiful weather and mild temps brought many runners out for a few hours of good old fashion fun," said race director Mary Patrovic. "Many folks in the community were out to support the runners as they ran the 5k course. This community event that honors the memory of Joe Keany was truly an event that was enjoyed by all."
