Robotics Team Creates Fundraiser To Raise Competition Fees

Ruby Tuesday teams up with booster club to help raise money for the Miller Place Robotics Team.

It can be extremely expensive to be a part of the Robotics Team. Entries into competitions could cost as much as $5,000. With limited funds available from the Miller Place School District, the Robotics Booster Club has worked year after year raising funds to allow their students to enter competitions.

It's latest fundraiser, which will run from Dec 13 to Dec 15, has the team partnering up with Ruby Tuesdays. A percentage of all meals purchased that day will go directly into the hands of the booster club.

"Simply hand the Ruby Tuesdays Give Back Flyer to your server and they will donate 20% of your purchase to the Robotics team. It's that easy," said Nancy Arnold, treasurer of the booster club.

"I am sure during this busy holiday season you can use a night of no-cooking and a good meal.  Now, you can also benefit the High School Robotics team at the same time. An excellent way to spread the holiday spirit of giving."
