Students Participate In 'Little Doctors Program' For A Day

Students from Laddie A. Decker got to participate in New York Blood Center's 'Little Doctor' program after winning an essay writing competition.

Students from Laddie A. Decker Sound Beach School (LADSBS) partnered up with the New York Blood Center to host it's Little Doctors Program.

The program is designed for faculty and students at the Miller Place School District to learn the value of donating blood and the circulatory system.

LADSBS held a competition for fifth graders asking them to participate in an essay writing contest on the importance of donating blood. The competition was optionally, but the winners would have a chance to participate in the Little Doctor program.
