Whiz Kid: 8th Grader Shines in Varsity Gymnastics
Jordan Ceccarini, only Miller Place gymnastics competitor, makes state team as an 8th grader.

School: North Country Road Middle School - Grade 8
Accomplishments: Ceccarini is the only competitor for Miller Place varsity gymnastics, and with the district having no team, she competes by herself along with Bay Shore.

After living Miller place for the past 10 years, her and her family moved to Melville last year, and she did gymnastics for Half Hollow Hills and managed the highest all around score in all of Long Island at the NY State High School finals. Her family moved back to Miller Place this year, and athletic director Lisa Lally was able to get her cleared to compete with Bay Shore, where she travels every day to train.
At counties Tuesday, Ceccarini starred. She came in fourth place overal and made the state team as well. She took fourth place in all around, third on bars, fourth on beam, fifth on floor, and seventh on vault.

She will now represent not only Miller Place but all of Suffolk County in the NYS Finals again in March.
