6 Local Spots to Watch the Jets Game Sunday

The New York Jets will play their second straight AFC Championship game Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a fight for a spot in Superbowl XLV. A win would send the Jets to the Superbowl for just the second time in franchise history.

Many local spots will be showing the game for fans in the Miller Place-Rocky Point area, and most will have food and drink specials and appetizers in support of the Jets. Here are the local places that will be featuring the Jets game Sunday evening.

 1.    in Miller Place: Napper Tandy’s will be showcasing the Jets game and has football specials for drinks and food. Coors pitchers are $8, buckets of 5 Coronas are $17, kickoff nachos are $6.50 and wings are two-for-one.

2.    in Rocky Point: Tommy’s Place will be showing the Jet game on its more than 20 TVs. The spot will also have wing specials, $3 Budweiser and Bud Light bottles and $3 Miller Light on tap.

3.    in Sound Beach: The Hartlin Inn will be showing the AFC Championship game with no scheduled specials.

4.    in Miller Place: Darin’s will be showing the game and will have drink and food specials, though an employee wasn’t sure yet what they’d be.

5.    in Rocky Point: Deks will be showcasing the Jet game and will have appetizers for customers at half time. An employee said the restaurant had about 25 people at last week’s Jet game.

6.    in Rocky Point: J&R’s is showing the Jet game and has a prime rib special on Sunday.  Customers can get an 8-ounce prime rib for $10.99, a 12-ounce for $12.99 and an 18-ounce prime rib for $14.99.
