Game 2

The Eagles sealed the series win Thursday with a 10-2 victory over the Panthers in easy fashion.

Eagles pitcher Brine Gill allowed just three hits while striking out four to earn the win. Cody McPartland went yard for the Panthers

Game 3

The Panthers were able to avoid a sweep as they held on to a 5-4 victory.

McPartland earned his first varsity win as the Panthers got out to a 5-2 lead in the sixth inning thanks in part to a Matt Hinchy RBI double. The Eagles cut it to one run, but Hinchy's big game (3-4, 3 RBIs) was enough of a cushion for the win.

The Eagles will take on Shoreham-Wading River (4-2) in a three-game set on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. All games start at 2 p.m.

Boys Lacrosse

The struggles continued for the varsity boys lacrosse team as they remained winless and fell to 0-5 in League II play with a loss to Glenn (3-1) Wednesday and Bayport-Blue Point (4-1) Friday.

Wednesday's game went to three overtimes before Glenn's Mike Trufano scored in the third OT to seal an 11-10 loss for the Eagles.

Kevin Cain made 15 saves in net and Nick Loscalzo scored three goals for the Eagles in the heartbreaking loss.
