Don't Miss: Sunday Fundraiser for Bone Marrow Transplant

A fundraiser to help pay for a bone marrow transplant will be held this Sunday at the Sound Beach Clubhouse.

After seeing 9-year-old Julia Wilson get her hair chopped off in mid-June, one Sound Beach resident was inspired to hold a fundraiser to help pay for the cost of her medical treatments.

Nine-year-old Julia Wilson was diagnosed with leukemia two years ago, and a fundraiser featuring Eastern healing processes, from yoga to Chinese messages to acupuncture and more, will be held this Sunday at the Sound Beach Clubhouse from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Raffle prizes include a large flat-screen TV, a football signed by former NFL tight end Mark Bavaro, and a photography session valued over $1,000.

'Just for Julia' is being set up through the efforts of Culley, Shaolin King Fu owner Ed Turney, and as well as other parents whose children attend the studio in Rocky Point.

A donation of $20 is suggested at the event. For more information, individuals can call the studio at 821-4812 or Culley at 209-9109.
