PHOTO: Religion Class Sponsors a Meal at Invited Inn Soup Kitchen
Class entirely prepped and served meal at the soup kitchen at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rocky Point.
Michelle Labuski's 8th grade religion class from was the first to Sponsor-A-Meal at the Invited Inn Soup Kitchen at the in Rocky Point on Aug. 9.
The boys raised funds, purchased food, prepared the food and brought it to the soup kitchen. The students also set the tables, which they have been doing as volunteers for years at the kitchen.
The Invited Inn offers a free hot meal for the needy at 5:00 p.m. every Thursday in Witzmann Hall, the parish hall behind the church.
