Volunteer Spotlight: Jean Biagiotti

Jean Biagiotti highlighted for her service in Rocky Point with the North Shore Youth Council.

Jean Biagiotti, a employee, is a Student Assistance Counselor based at the in Rocky Point. 

In her sixth year, she remains dedicated to providing quality services to the families within the community.  One of Biagiotti responsibilities is facilitating the Peer Mediation Program in which nominated students receive training in conflict resolution and act as peer mediators.

This program allows students to resolve disputes and conflicts peacefully while developing communication and problem solving skills. She also coordinates the Big Buddy Little Buddy Mentoring Program, which pairs students up with caring mentors throughout the school year. The High School Buddies were recently awarded for their volunteer efforts at a ceremony on May 9.

In addition, Jean, along with her North Shore Youth Council colleagues, participated in the Town of Brookhaven Spring Clean Up on April 21 and the New York Families Against Bullying “Walk-a-thon” on May 19.
