Red Mango Coming To Miller Place

It's been two years since Ladies Workout Express closed down in the Stop and Shop shopping center on Route 25A in Miller Place, but a new business is finally coming to the location, and it's one that will likely excite many locals. 

Red Mango will be opening soon in the center, making it their location furthest east on the North Shore of Long Island. The only Red Mango further east on the island is located in Shirley. 

Suffolk Water Sells Miller Place Surplus Holding

Part of the hundreds of acres of land identified as surplus holdings by the Suffolk County Water Authority, a 0.84 acre lot in Miller Place has been sold.

The parcel, which borders Harrison Avenue, 15th Street and Tyler Avenue in Miller Place, has just been approved for a subdivision into two lots for residential use, according to the SCWA.

Miller Place Outlasts Huntington in County Lacrosse Final

Miller Place overcame Huntington's early lead in Wednesday's Class B Suffolk championship, emerging with a 5-4 win and a spot in the Class B Long Island Championship on Saturday.

Head coach Keith Lizzi – whose team is in just its fourth year as a varsity program – said the result rendered him nearly speechless.

“I can’t believe it,” he said. “Four years in the making, and we’re playing for a Long Island championship.”

Anti-Obama Political Group Sets Up On 25a In Miller Place

Members of the LaRouchePAC political movement set up a table, adorned with negative messages and pictures about President Barack Obama, on the corner of Route 25a and Miller Place Thursday. 

"We go all over the country," said Art Murphy. "We're just trying to get different cross-sections."
